NEW OWNERSHIP, SAME GREAT DINING

Poverty Bay Café was reopened by FUSION when Dan & Alice Olmstead and the original Poverty Bay Family donated their restaurant business to this Federal Way nonprofit organization that provides housing and support services to families experiencing homelessness. The iconic eatery will now help fund FUSION programs. A culinary and job skills training program is being developed for the restaurant as well.

Come satisfy your appetite and support the FUSION mission. Try the legendary waffles, custom-made sandwiches, garden-fresh salads. And don’t miss the Boss Brownie! You’ll want to sample the entire satisfying menu!

Pop in just for a beverage, or order with your meal. Our fruit smoothies are made with yogurt or ice cream. Enjoy the freshest selection of Poverty Bay coffees and proprietary blends. And don’t forget to take home a bag of premium gourmet beans to enjoy later!

COMMUNITY CONNECTION

Founded in 1993, FUSION is professionally staffed and volunteer supported. The organization owns and operates 20 transitional homes and a 90-bed emergency shelter for families with minor children in their care. FUSION owns Poverty Bay Café and also the FUSION Décor Boutique next door which sells gently-used furnishings. These businesses provide funding for FUSION programs, create community awareness of the mission, engage new volunteers, and provide gainful employment training opportunities for the community.
