Thank you for supporting sustainable shade-grown coffee!

At Poverty Bay Coffee Company we are 100% committed to supporting farmers who are 100% committed to sustainable agriculture. We do this by giving the farmers we love a sustainable price for the world class coffee they nurture and harvest. It is this relationship that is responsible for the fact that our coffees are among the best you will find anywhere in the world. It is our core belief that quality and integrity can, and should, go hand in hand. Every bean we buy and every roast we roast is proof that quality and integrity do go hand in hand. By supporting Poverty Bay Coffee Company, you too are supporting the farmers and the land we have grown to love. Order some today, sit back, drink up, enjoy and Welcome to the Family!!

"Coffee Rich In Taste!"

For over ten years Poverty Bay Coffee Co has been dedicated to the concept that you can bring world class 100% Sustainable Shade Grown Coffees to you and yours at a reasonable price. We roast all of our coffee in small batches using a unique air roasting system that brings out the absolute best in every bean. We believe that if we buy the best orgainic coffee and pay the farmers prices that exceed fair trade coffee standards we are helping support a truly sustainable business model for us and the farmers we love. As a concerned and responbible consumer you are getting great coffee at a great price that you can feel great about enjoying. Thank you for your support of our efforts and "Welcome to the Family!"

-The Poverty Bay Coffee Company

By working with independent importers like El Malinal and Café Selvanica who bring the best in sustainable shade-grown coffees to market, we at Poverty Bay are able to support small scale coffee cooperatives. These groups of farmers receive a good wage in return for the hard work and care of the environment. You, as coffee consumers, can be assured that your cup of coffee is improving the lives of farmers and protecting our natural resources.

"Giving Something Back" program.

On January 1, 2004 we announced our "Giving Something Back" commitment. Five percent of all Fresh Roasted Coffees and Dan's Cold Brewed Espresso retail sales are donated to the following organizations:

Friends of the Hylebos Creek Watershed
